Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and recommend appropriate services with enthusiasm and confidence. Educate customers on vehicle maintenance needs, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, transmissions, suspension, alignments, and more. Prepare accurate auto estimates for repairs and maintenance using dealership or shop management software. Upsell additional services and accessories by clearly communicating benefits and value to enhance customer satisfaction. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while keeping customers informed throughout the process. Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed service records. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships that lead to repeat business. Requirements Proven service advisor background in an automotive setting. Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including diagnostics, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair and AC components. Mechanical aptitude with experience working alongside service technicians or understanding automotive diagnostics. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes. Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Basic cash handling skills and attention to detail in record keeping.
