WHAT DOES AN A-TECH LOOK LIKE TO US?
You should be confident diagnosing and repairing: Advanced electrical issues Check engine lights Drivability concerns Engine performance problems HVAC systems Steering and suspension Braking systems Cooling systems Major mechanical repairs Wiring and electrical faults Scan-tool related procedures Programming-related procedures More importantly, you need to know how to diagnose. That means using service information, testing procedures, wiring diagrams, scan data, and your own knowledge to determine the actual cause of a problem. We diagnose vehicles. We don't throw parts at them and hope something fixes the problem. ASE certifications are absolutely a plus, but not required; we care more about you
ACTUALLY KNOWING
how to repair a vehicle. A piece of paper alone doesn't make someone an A-Tech. Your ability, workmanship, attitude, integrity, productivity, and willingness to keep learning matter to us.
