Responsibilities Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical vehicle issues Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately Using communication tools effectively to provide updates to dispatch and service advisors on the status of the repair, and to write up stories with accurate information prior to submitting paperwork to dispatch. Utilize "Hotline" to obtain assistance with unusual, hard-to-diagnosis, or complex issues. Communicating with the parts department to ensure proper replacement parts are ordered Ensuring all work is completed to safety and quality standards (Fixed Right the First Time) Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Keeping current with online modules/courses Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models. Strong familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting. Hands-on experience repairing powertrain components, vehicle transmission systems, diesel engines, suspension systems, and electrical wiring diagrams. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, automotive service equipment, and specialized diagnostic devices. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems including ADAS technology integration is highly desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver high-quality service. Prior experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required.
