Fleet Maintenance Mechanic Dean Bros Investing LLC - Pensacola, FL Dean Bros Investing LLC is hiring an experienced, dependable Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our private rental car fleet safe, reliable, and generating revenue. This is not a heavy-equipment position. You will be working primarily on passenger vehicles used in our rental operation. In this business, every vehicle that is down is a vehicle that cannot make money. We need a mechanic who understands that their work directly affects the success of the company. You will be trusted to stay ahead of maintenance, identify problems early, complete repairs efficiently, and keep as much of the fleet on the road as possible. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, oil changes, fluid services, filters, batteries, belts, hoses, and tune-ups. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems. Perform brake, suspension, steering, tire, cooling-system, and general automotive repairs. Diagnose and repair A/C and heating systems. Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately. Inspect vehicles and catch problems before they result in breakdowns or extended downtime. Help turn vehicles around quickly and safely so they can return to rental service. There may be times you may have to respond to roadside assistance calls , not often, but at times. Determine whether roadside repairs can be completed on-site or whether the vehicle needs to be returned to the shop. Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, parts, and upcoming service needs. Communicate with management about vehicle condition, repair priorities, and vehicles that should be removed from service. Help control repair costs by diagnosing problems correctly instead of unnecessarily replacing parts. Maintain an organized work area and assist with basic parts and maintenance inventory. Take ownership of the overall mechanical condition and uptime of the fleet. What We're Looking For Experience repairing and maintaining passenger cars, SUVs, vans, or similar vehicles. Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting ability. Knowledge of brakes, suspension, electrical systems, A/C, cooling systems, batteries, tires, and routine maintenance. Ability to use scan tools, hand tools, power tools, and normal automotive shop equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple vehicle repairs. Strong sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality. Dependable, organized, and able to communicate clearly with management. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles. ASE or other automotive certifications are a plus, but real-world experience and proven ability matter to us. This Is a High-Responsibility Position We are looking for someone who understands that fleet maintenance is directly connected to revenue. If the vehicles are not maintained, they cannot be rented. If they cannot be rented, the company cannot generate revenue. Management will rely heavily on you to keep the fleet running, tell us what needs attention, prevent unnecessary downtime, and get vehicles back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.
