Perform diagnostics on automotive systems, electrical testing tools, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydraulic, suspension, HVAC, and electrical problems. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and other critical components of industrial and heavy equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to assemble parts or repair damaged machinery. Execute preventive maintenance tasks including tire service, alignment adjustments, brake repairs, and vehicle maintenance to extend equipment lifespan. Read technical schematics and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Skills Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in operation and automotive repair. 5 years or more experience is highly preferred . Proficiency in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to work with schematics for complex diagnostics. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and air brake systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, service manuals, and diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair needs or technical issues. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience relevant to service technician roles across various machinery types.
