Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive axles, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and steering component replacements to optimize handling and safety. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality. Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting automotive electrical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other vehicle sensors. Diagnose diesel engine problems and perform necessary repairs with attention to detail and safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly, offering maintenance recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. Qualifications Dealership or service shop experience as an automotive technician is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair across various systems including powertrain, transmission, electrical, suspension, and vehicle systems. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, and electrical wiring diagrams. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous. Familiarity with ADAS technology, automotive electrical systems, vehicle alignment techniques, and diesel engine repair. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, automotive service equipment effectively while adhering to safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with technical proficiency in auto estimating software is a plus. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
