Automotive Mechanic / Transmission Installer Transmasters - G & W Transmissions Sebastian, Florida We are looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Mechanic / Transmission Installer to join our team at Transmasters in Sebastian, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong general automotive repair experience and be comfortable removing and installing transmissions on a variety of vehicles. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and can accurately diagnose and repair automotive problems. Responsibilities Remove and install automatic and manual transmissions Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance Diagnose mechanical and drivability issues Perform transmission-related repairs and services Inspect vehicles and identify additional repairs that may be needed Perform brakes, suspension, steering, cooling system, and other general mechanical repairs Complete repairs accurately and in a timely manner Maintain a clean and organized work area Properly use shop equipment and diagnostic tools Communicate with management regarding vehicle condition, needed repairs, and job progress Perform quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers Qualifications Previous professional automotive mechanic experience preferred Transmission removal and installation experience strongly preferred Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have your own basic automotive tools Valid driver's license Dependable transportation Good attendance and work ethic A/C certification is a plus ASE certifications are a plus We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and takes pride in doing the job correctly the first time .
