About the job Journey USA RV Rentals is a family-owned RV rental, sales and storage business on Hwy 92 in Tampa, in operation since 2017. Right now every repair on our rental fleet goes to an outside mechanic. We want to bring that work in-house with one experienced RV tech who also keeps the fleet and lot in order. You'd have a covered bay, a steady flow of billable repair work on our own fleet, and a clear path to growing a service department as we open it up to customers. How the pay works Two kinds of hours, two rates. The base is $25 per hour to start for 9 to 2, Monday through Friday, covering fleet prep, turnovers and lot upkeep. Repair work on the fleet is billable and pays $75 per hour on top of that, and you can take on as much of it as you want. The more you fix, the more you make, and the schedule beyond the 9-to-2 core is yours to shape. What you'll do On the service side: diagnose and repair RV electrical (12V and 120V), plumbing, LP systems, appliances (fridges, water heaters, furnaces, A/C units), slide-outs, leveling systems, roof and seal work, and general interior and exterior repairs across the fleet.

On the fleet side:

dump and fuel returning units, get them staged for our cleaning crew and hold that work to our standard, run the pre-departure functionality checklist, keep the lot and equipment maintained, and drive RVs to local vendors when needed. Delivering rentals to customers' campsites around Florida is extra paid work on top of everything else. What we're looking for Real, hands-on RV repair experience, whether at a dealership, a mobile service or an independent shop, and the ability to show it: tell us what systems you've worked on and what you've fixed. RVTI or RVIA certification is a plus. You must be comfortable driving RVs, including large motorhomes, and hold a valid driver's license; this is not optional, since moving units is a daily part of the job. Towing experience with trailers and fifth wheels is a strong plus. Most of all, we're looking for someone who can look at a unit, tell us what's wrong and fix it right the first time. Pay and perks $25 per hour base to start, plus $75 per hour on billable repair work, paid as a W-2 employee. 35 hours of paid time off your first year, doubled in year two.
