Job Description

Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Groome Transportation. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional transportation services. Responsibilities Support the operation of the campus shuttle and/or airport shuttle maintenance services Understand Fleetio Maintenance Software and its total operation to Fleet Services Report any and all maintenance issues to the Fleet (Shop) Manager or Regional Fleet Manager Maintain equipment to OEM standards. Utilize Fleetio software to input repairs, work orders and parts. After hour on call as scheduled. Additional on call required during inclement weather. After hour driver emergencies to include roadside emergencies. Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Familiarity with and competency in use of computer diagnostic software to troubleshoot and repair engine failures. Ability to learn Cummins Insite, Ford IDS and Basic OBD2 scan tools to troubleshoot diagnostic trouble codes. Ensure repairs noted on DVIRs are completed in a timely manner and DVIRs are signed off in Fleetio and Motive. Ability to operate floor jacks, hydraulic lifts and Power Tools. Ability to Remove and install tires. Sign off for Parts delivered to shop after hours and report to Fleet Manager/Director of Maintenance the next day. Complete all safety-related issues prior to next shift. Work at the direction of the Fleet/Shop Manager. Maintain required licensing including but not limited to drivers' license, ASE certifications and Medical Card. Complete Quarterly Safety Training as directed. Perform other duties as required. Excellent customer service Basic working knowledge of the following systems: HVAC, air, hydraulic, exhaust suspension, transmission, engine, brakes, electrical, oil and water Diesel mechanics must have working knowledge of the
