We are looking for a dedicated, high-level Diagnostic Technician to handle in-depth electrical, drivability, and network diagnostics. If you are the technician who excels at tracking down complex electrical issues, reading schematics, and pinpointing module and wiring faults—without having to fight a flat-rate clock—this position is for you. This is a straight hourly, 40-hour-per-week position . You are paid for your time, your diagnostic process, and your brainpower.

What You'll Be Doing:

In-depth electrical troubleshooting: voltage drop testing, circuit tracing, parasitic draws, and pin-testing harnesses down to the root cause.

Network and communication diagnostics:

CAN bus (high/low speed), LIN bus, terminating resistance testing, and module communication loss.

Control module diagnostics and testing:

PCM, TCM, BCM, ABS, EPS, and body/chassis modules.

Powertrain and drivability diagnostics:

misfires, fuel trim analysis, sensor faults, and electronic throttle/ignition controls.

Transmission control diagnostics:

shift solenoids, pressure switches, torque converter lockup circuits, and electronic valve body issues. Read, trace, and interpret complex OEM wiring schematics across all vehicle makes and models. Use scan tools, lab scopes, breakout boxes, and DVOMs to verify failures before replacing parts.

Qualifications:

Proven hands-on experience in advanced automotive diagnostics and electrical repair. Demonstrated ability to read and navigate factory wiring diagrams accurately. Comfortable with scan-tool live data analysis, bidirectional controls, and digital storage lab scopes. ASE certifications are a plus (especially A6 Electrical, A8 Engine Performance, L1, or A2), but proven field competency and diagnostic ability come first. Must have your own diagnostic tools and professional equipment (shop scan tools, information systems, and databases provided). Valid driver's license with a clean record.
