Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Lead Lift Station Mechanic for assignment in West Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will lead a team of 6 mechanics and direct them each day with there work assignments as per contract needs. Hours are Monday
  • Friday, 7:00am
  • 3:00pm
  • This position requires a Back Flow Certification
  • This position has an on-call schedule for emergencies
  • This position requires a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) w/ Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements
  • Responsibilities
  • Install, repair and maintain pumps, motors, generators, electrical motors, gauges, contacts, valves and components for telemetry systems
  • Perform sewer utility locates and inspections as requested
  • Study work reports and evaluate equipment and system efficiency
  • Interpret force main maps and control panel diagrams to assess operations and identify improvements
  • Make recommendations for improvements to the supervisor
  • Be available on call for after-hours repairs and respond to emergencies as required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) w/ Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements
  • A valid Back Flow Certification
  • 5+ years experience in mechanical repairs, operations and maintenance of wastewater and lift station pumping facilities
  • Ability to interpret electrical, SCADA schematics and utility as-builts #IND
