RV SERVICE TECH QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems and appliances Knowledge of general carpentry, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation Ability to efficiently manage your time, meet productivity goals, and independently complete flat-rate work Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing devices Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic Effective communication, documentation, and customer service skills Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance High school degree or GED equivalent Willingness to work occasional Saturdays during peak periods
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodation) Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods Ability to safely climb ladders, access RV roofs, work in confined spaces around moving mechanical equipment, and work outside in various weather conditions Ability to visually inspect components for defects or damage Manual dexterity for using tools and equipment
Bonus Qualifications:
Technical training, RVTI certification, vocational education, or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in construction, RV service, automotive repair, marine repair, or a similar technical area Experience with troubleshooting and servicing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems or appliances Experience performing warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections
DAY-TO-DAY
As our RV Service Tech, you'll be in charge of accurately diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all kinds of systems commonly found in RVs. That includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems in addition to structural components and appliances. You're the hands-on problem solver who can accurately identify the source of issues and complete exceptional repairs while meeting all quality, safety, and regulatory standards. We offer manufacturer and company-sponsored training programs, allowing you to keep building your skills and growing your knowledge! You'll service RVs for customers and dealerships, performing thorough inspections to make sure everything looks good and repairing whatever issues you find. Attentive to detail, you'll accurately document your inspection findings, follow manufacturer specifications to complete warranty repairs, and test systems to ensure functioning before signing off on the job. Depending on the day, you could be installing flooring, fixing leveling systems, replacing slide-out accessories, winterizing/de-winterizing the RV, and more.
