$25-$40 per hour, based on experience and skill level About Us Atlanta Off-Road Outfitters is a growing aftermarket off-road vehicle upgrade shop specializing in suspension lifts, bumpers, winches, wheels, tires, roof racks, armor, and other vehicle accessories. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on exciting off-road builds while developing your skills in a professional shop environment. Position Overview The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive experience, understands mechanical fundamentals, and can complete common aftermarket installations with limited supervision. You do not need to know everything, but you must be willing to learn, follow instructions, solve problems, and produce quality work. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and wants to grow with the company. Responsibilities Install suspension lift kits, leveling kits, shocks, and related components. Install aftermarket bumpers, winches, rock sliders, and skid plates. Mount and balance wheels and tires, including oversized off-road tires. Install roof racks, steps, snorkels, and other bolt-on accessories. Perform basic wiring for winches, lighting, and aftermarket accessories. Follow manufacturer installation instructions and proper torque specifications. Identify installation challenges and communicate concerns before proceeding. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. Work collaboratively with the shop owner and other technicians.

Qualifications Required:

Hands-on automotive mechanical experience. Basic understanding of suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain systems. Ability to use common automotive hand and power tools. Ability to follow written installation instructions. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred:

Experience installing lift kits and aftermarket suspension components. Experience with off-road vehicles such as Jeeps, Toyotas, and trucks. Experience with tire mounting and balancing. Welding or fabrication experience. Experience with electrical accessories and 12V wiring. Automotive technical training or ASE certifications.
