This position is responsible for maintaining all fleet vehicles and coordinating the covert vehicles to meet covert audit schedule. Oversee the maintenance of all GA Clean Air Force fleet vehicles.
Ensure performance of covert vehicle, including the set up and testing failures of covert audit vehicles.
Assist Customer Service staff in evaluation of repair receipts to determine if pricing is reasonable and if work notated is emission related.
Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine whether the repair work has been performed.
Serves as liaison to Georgia's Clean Air Force public information staff for repair tech outreach.
Work with management on motorist vehicles that have problems with emissions.
Research motorist vehicles that have failed test multiple years and are requesting another repair waiver to determine possible solutions and/or repairs to the vehicle.
Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Opus HQ garage.
Assist and provide support to auditors on both vehicle and visual audits.
Assist the Overt and Covert managers on any fleet vehicle issues that may occur through the course of the business day.
Provide support to the Assistant Repair Technician by answering questions as needed. High School diploma or equivalent.
A.S.E. Certified; or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Minimum 2 years Automotive Service work experience Qualifications Proficient in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of general office systems (i.e. PC), procedures and methods.
Strong organizational skills.
