A day in the shop Morning starts with a review of scheduled trailers and a walkaround inspection. You'll dig into brake, suspension, and electrical systems to pinpoint issues, then move into routine upkeep—oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments. When components are worn or damaged, you'll repair or replace parts to meet strict safety standards. Throughout the day, you'll document service details, partner with teammates on tricky problems, and keep your bay organized and compliant with all safety protocols. As new techniques emerge, you'll stay current on industry best practices to continuously sharpen your craft. Your impact Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and suspension issues on semi-trailers.

Complete scheduled maintenance:

oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments. Repair/replace components and verify work aligns with safety requirements. Record all maintenance and repair actions for each trailer accurately. Collaborate with fellow technicians to resolve complex faults. Keep current with industry trends to enhance repair methods. Uphold safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive or diesel is a plus. Hands-on mechanic experience, ideally with semi-trailers or heavy-duty equipment. Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and apply technical manuals and wiring/schematic diagrams. Strong diagnostic mindset with keen attention to detail. Comfort working independently and as a contributing team member. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
