- Full-time Overview Action Tire Company is seeking a dependable, motivated, and mechanically inclined Preventive Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services on commercial trucks and trailers
- Change engine oil, filters, fuel filters, and lubricate chassis components.
- Inspect brakes, tires, lights, suspension, steering, and fluid levels.
- Perform DOT safety inspections and report any defects.
- Replace belts, hoses, batteries, lights, wiper blades, and other wear items.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist senior mechanics with larger repairs when needed.
- Identify potential mechanical issues before they become major repairs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous preventive maintenance or diesel mechanic experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Pay:
$20.00- $26.
