Job Summary:
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high quality and productivity standards per requirements
  • Excellent attendance and safety record
  • Understand and adhere to prescribed safety procedures
  • Work independently with minimal supervision; self-motivated
  • Understand verbal and written communication
  • Trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair
  • Gasoline, diesel engines, and drive train components
  • Automotive electrical systems
  • Fluid and power systems
  • Fabrication and weld
  • Must have own tools, hand and air
  • Complete required training as required per union/employer agreement or equivalent experience or training
  • Must have current Oregon driver's license and obtain CDL to operate company vehicles
  • Experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and understanding all types of rolling stock
  • Experience in fighting fires at incipient phase
Required Qualifications:
  • Maintain high quality and productivity standards per requirements
  • Excellent attendance and safety record
  • Understand and adhere to prescribed safety procedures
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understand verbal and written communication
  • Maintain a fleet of rolling stock and keep them in running condition
  • Pass company jitney driving course and mechanical aptitude test
  • Current Oregon driver's license or have/obtain CDL
  • Learn new applicable technologies as directed
  • Team player and willing to work with other maintenance trades
