For coffee lovers and those looking for a quick grab-and-go lunch or a sweet treat, the Julep Coffee and Sweets Bar is the perfect spot to satisfy your cravings. The restaurant, known as the JULEP KITCHEN, features New American cuisine with a decidedly Southern Twist. The kitchen focuses on seasonal cooking with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The Julep Bar offers an extensive selection of wines and champagnes, locally crafted beers, and creatively mixed cocktails, with the classic Mint Julep as a standout feature.

Position Overview:

We're looking for a friendly, fast-paced, and detail-oriented team member to join our team as a Lead Hostess. This multi-faceted role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys delivering exceptional customer service across a variety of settings. As a front-facing member of our team, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with warm, southern hospitality, preparing coffee and specialty drinks, and assisting with retail sales. From greeting guests and managing waitlists to crafting lattes and helping someone choose the perfect item, you'll be a vital part of creating an unforgettable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Hostess Duties Warmly greet and seat guests, ensuring a welcoming first impression. Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in traffic efficiently. Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entry. Barista Duties Prepare and serve coffee, pastries, and other beverages to standard. Maintain a clean and well-stocked coffee station. Follow proper food safety and handling protocols. Provide recommendations and upsell items based on customer preferences. Able to assist in checking out retail customers

Retail:

Replenishing retail displays Returning clothes to rack from "try ons" organizing clothing

Qualifications:

Prior experience in hospitality, coffee service, or retail is preferred but not required. Strong multitasking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor. Willingness to learn and adapt to various responsibilities.
