Duluth International Auto Service is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a productive, well-rounded technician who is comfortable with more than basic maintenance. The right candidate should be able to perform thorough vehicle inspections, accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, and independently complete a wide range of automotive service and repair work. This position requires a minimum of five years of professional automotive shop experience and is intended for an experienced technician who can consistently produce 40-50+ flagged labor hours per week while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. We service a broad mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly. What You'll Be Doing Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance and repairs Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and other vehicle concerns Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify problems Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs Complete brake, steering, suspension, cooling system, engine, and other mechanical repairs Perform electrical testing and repair Clearly document inspection findings, diagnostic results, and completed repairs Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding findings, repair recommendations, and additional work needed Follow established shop procedures and quality-control standards Work efficiently and consistently produce 40-50+ flagged labor hours per week Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail while meeting productivity expectations Road test and verify repairs when appropriate Maintain a clean and organized work area Required Experience & Qualifications We are looking for an experienced technician who can inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles independently, not simply replace parts.

Qualified candidates should have:

Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair shop experience Demonstrated ability to consistently produce 40-50+ flagged labor hours per week Strong general mechanical knowledge Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience performing thorough vehicle inspections Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability problems Experience with modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment Ability to perform a broad range of maintenance and repair work independently Good communication and documentation skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work efficiently in a production-oriented shop environment Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Valid driver's license Own professional automotive tools ASE certifications are a plus, but practical experience, diagnostic ability, productivity, quality of work, and attitude are equally important. Shop Hours:
