General Manager Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded Fleet Services Technician I to join our Fleet Services team. This is a hands-on, entry-level technician position that provides an opportunity to build skills while working alongside experienced team members. The Fleet Services Technician I assists with routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, boats, and off-road equipment. Work may include installing and repairing parts, performing tune-ups, tire maintenance, basic diagnostics, and assisting with welding and metal fabrication. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new mechanical skills, and working in both shop and outdoor environments. What You'll Do Assist with routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers, boats, and off-road equipment. Repair or install parts and assist with tune-ups and preventative maintenance. Perform tire work, including changing, rotating, balancing, and repairing tires. Assist with welding and metal fabrication tasks within your skill level. Use basic hand and power tools safely and appropriately. Assist with loading and unloading equipment, materials, and cargo. Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas. Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or concerns to a supervisor. Operate a forklift for basic tasks under appropriate supervision. Travel to job sites by company vehicle or boat as needed. Assist with maintenance or repair work at field locations within your training and skill level. Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other related Fleet Services duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. General understanding of repair shop and workplace safety. Ability and willingness to learn new mechanical skills and techniques. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain focused and complete assigned tasks safely. Basic knowledge or experience in at least one of the following areas is preferred: Welding and fabrication Hand and power tools Mechanical or electrical vehicle diagnostics Basic forklift knowledge or experience is helpful. Comfortable working around water and traveling by boat. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Team members should be comfortable working around vehicles, equipment, boats, docks, and water.
The position requires:
Standing, sitting, bending, and repetitive movement. Regular use of hands to operate tools, equipment, and controls. Lifting and moving at least 35 pounds. Working around noise, dust, exhaust fumes, cleaning solvents, chemicals, batteries, and mechanical equipment. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Traveling by boat and maintaining balance while working on or around docks and watercraft. Entering lake water occasionally when necessary to safely complete or support assigned tasks.
