In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for an experienced technician who can work independently, properly diagnose mechanical issues, and complete repairs to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking for a stable, long-term position with a growing automotive company. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using professional diagnostic equipment, electrical testing equipment, schematics, and other tools. Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, cooling systems, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, shocks and struts, and other powertrain components. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid services, tire service, vehicle inspections, and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems. Identify mechanical problems accurately and recommend appropriate repairs. Read and interpret technical diagrams, repair procedures, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, diagnostic equipment, and other shop equipment safely and effectively. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and vehicle safety. Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and vehicle status clearly with management. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. Assist with other mechanical or shop-related responsibilities when necessary. Experience & Qualifications Proven professional experience as an automotive mechanic or technician. Previous dealership, independent repair shop, or automotive reconditioning experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems. Experience diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, cooling systems, and electrical problems. Ability to independently diagnose mechanical problems rather than relying solely on parts replacement. Experience using professional automotive diagnostic scanners and equipment. Ability to read automotive wiring diagrams, repair manuals, and technical information. Experience with welding, suspension work, tire service, wheel alignment, or automotive electrical repair is a plus. Experience working on GM vehicles and other domestic, Asian, and European makes is preferred but not required. Must have your own basic automotive hand tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
