In this dynamic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of automotive care. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse vehicle systems, including powertrains, electrical systems, transmissions, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), in a fast-paced environment that values precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain vehicles, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and ADAS components. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete tasks efficiently. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimates, and service procedures to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating for repairs using dealership or independent shop software. Requirements Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance. Hands-on experience with ADAS technology, wheel alignments, schematics reading, and auto estimating software. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic scanners. Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid mechanic license or certification relevant to automotive repair standards is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
