Stockbridge, GA Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Contract Pay:
$200-$300 per day, based on experience and qualifications Overview Good Choice X-pert Tree Service is seeking a dependable, hardworking, safety-minded Groundsman with CDL driving experience to join our crew. The ideal candidate has prior tree service experience, is comfortable working outdoors as part of a crew, and can also drive our trucks — including manual transmission — to haul equipment and debris between job sites. This is a hands-on field position requiring physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work well with climbers, operators, drivers, and crew leaders. Required Qualifications Be drug free Legally authorized to work in the United States Reliable personal transportation Valid CDL required Clean driving record required Manual transmission experience required — must be comfortable driving stick shift trucks Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening Prior experience as a tree service groundsman or in a similar tree service, landscaping, land clearing, or outdoor labor role Experience working around tree service equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, ropes, trailers, skid steers, and hand tools Able to safely drag brush, move logs, feed chippers, rake, clean up debris, and assist with job site operations Able to follow directions from the crew leader, climber, equipment operator, or supervisor Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and professional Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically able to lift, pull, carry, rake, drag brush, and perform demanding outdoor labor throughout the workday Preferred Qualifications Experience feeding brush into a chipper safely Experience working around climbers, rigging, ropes, falling limbs, and active removal zones Experience using chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, rakes, and other tree service equipment Experience assisting with tree removals, trimming, chipping, stump grinding support, hauling, and cleanup Experience working around skid steers, bobcats, cranes, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, and trailers Ability to drive or back trailers Live within approximately 30 minutes of Stockbridge, GA 30281 Scope of Work Includes dragging brush and limbs to the chipper, feeding the chipper, raking/blowing/cleaning job sites, moving logs and debris, driving company trucks between sites, assisting climbers/operators/crew leaders during removal and trimming operations, maintaining awareness of drop zones and job site hazards, loading/unloading tools and equipment, assisting with traffic control and job site setup, and supporting shop or yard duties (washing trucks, organizing tools, mowing/weeding shop grounds). Safety Expectations All team members are expected to follow applicable safety rules, OSHA standards, job site requirements, and company safety procedures — working safely around climbers, equipment operators, vehicles, trailers, chippers, chainsaws, falling limbs, ropes, power lines, traffic, customers, and the public. Equipment Used Chippers, chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, rakes and hand tools, ropes and rigging equipment, trailers, skid steers/bobcats, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, cranes, and other tree service and hauling equipment.
