Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of automotive systems, ensuring our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and passion for automotive technology will help us deliver top-tier service while maintaining a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Whether working on light vehicles or heavy equipment, your hands-on approach and technical knowledge will keep our fleet running smoothly and our customers satisfied. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and wheel alignments. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to disassemble, repair, and reassemble automotive components efficiently. Work with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology to calibrate and repair driver-assistance features on modern vehicles. Diagnose complex mechanical systems issues in both light vehicles and heavy equipment using schematics and diagnostic software. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks for repairs, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair industry experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions (including heavy-duty), automotive electrical systems, and powertrain components. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, suspension repairs (including shocks & struts), wheel alignment techniques, and tire service. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required.
