As a shop-based expert reporting to the Service Manager, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks—and verify your work meets OEM standards every time. Your impact Run comprehensive crane inspections to isolate faults. Diagnose and repair mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; service hydraulic and electrical systems. Assess wear with micrometers and gauges; interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Function-test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems post-repair to confirm OEM compliance. Pre-stage parts and validate drawings for job readiness. Perform detailed annual inspections. Complete work reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expenses accurately. Operate independently with little to no supervision. Provide top-tier customer service. Other duties as assigned.
