Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. Mechanical skills are an absolute must. Flexibility to work on multiple tasks is a plus. Candidate needs to be flexible with scheduling; hours are standard however jobs sometimes are not. Candidate must have a good work ethic and ability to work well with customers, vendors and employees. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to: Diagnose and repair heavy duty truck issues (Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Ford) Diagnose, tear down and rebuild units as necessary and ensure functions work properly Knowledge of truck electrical, computer and ABS systems Accurately submit parts orders needed to complete repair and installation Perform federal D.O.T. testing and certifications and provide documented reports of test results Maintain personal certifications and paperwork necessary to remain certified Self-motivated individual with a good work ethic and pride in their workmanship Reliable transportation Requirements Must have experience as a Heavy-Medium Duty Truck and Equipment repair technician with the capability of performing repairs on vehicle and equipment components. Be able to demonstrate knowledge of diagnosis, replacement and repair in all aspects of truck repair. Welding experience needed for tractor and trailer repairs Experience in tank and trailer repair preferred Experience or ability to learn steps to perform federal and state D.O.T. testing and certification. Ability to work in a variety of scenarios and remain flexible. Must have valid drivers license, Class B or A preferred.
