Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and versatile Diesel Mechanic / Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This is a unique position that will support the equipment, trucking, and operational needs of our family of companies. The primary responsibilities will include maintenance and repair of over-the-road trucks, trailers, and other equipment, along with CDL driving as needed. This position will also provide support to our farming operation during harvest and assist with truck maintenance and repairs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping equipment running, and is willing to jump in where needed. No two days or seasons will look exactly the same. Duties Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment Conduct ongoing maintenance as well as breakdown and emergency repairs Perform DOT inspections and help maintain safe, compliant equipment Diagnose mechanical issues and coordinate repair priorities with management Order parts, shop supplies, and necessary materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment Assist our farming operation with truck driving during harvest Assist with maintenance and repairs of trucks within all of Wilson Group Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required driver records Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment or materials when applicable Communicate equipment needs and repair status with company managers Assist with other operational needs and tasks as they arise Requirements Valid CDL Acceptable driving record Experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, trailers, and/or heavy equipment Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability DOT Inspection Certification Ability to safely operate commercial trucks and trailers as needed Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple needs Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with managers and coworkers Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist wherever needed Benefits Work/Life Balance Consistent, Full-Time Work Competitive Pay Health Insurance 401(k) with Employer Match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Safety Training Development Opportunities A Position With Variety This isn't a position where you'll be doing the exact same thing every day.
