Kim Hansen Chevrolet is now interviewing candidates for an open service advisor position. As a Service Advisor you will be responsible for assisting customers with automotive repair needs. Job includes the
Following:
Ascertain automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying descriptions of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining schedules. Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions. Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles. Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system. Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers'' publications. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
QUALIFICATION
• Working knowledge of computers Understanding of basic automotive components and systems Previous service experience preferred but not required Other dealership service experience is a plus Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment Be a team player who is focused on providing excellent customer service. Be at least 18 years of age Possess a valid in-state driver's license Pass a 7-year criminal background check and drug screen
