Job Title:
Fleet Mechanic Job Description Join our team in Kuna as a Fleet Mechanic, where you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a fleet of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Your role will involve performing regular preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance and functionality of all equipment, troubleshooting and repairing issues, and responding to roadside calls for disabled vehicles. You will also maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to company safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities Perform regular preventative maintenance on fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Inspect all fleet equipment for compliance and functionality. Ensure all moving parts are well-greased and operational. Troubleshoot issues and participate in repairs. Accurately interpret repair manuals and work orders. Respond to roadside calls for disabled vehicles as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all company safety rules and regulations. Essential Skills Experience with diesel engines and diagnostics. Ability to perform preventative maintenance. Competence in diagnosing and servicing brakes. Experience with diesel trucks, including tractor/trailers and power-train mechanics. Proficiency in using basic hand tools. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Authorized to work in the US. Experience in mechanical, fleet maintenance, brake, mechanical repair, troubleshooting, repair, hydraulics, electrical, diesel engine, diagnosis, and transmission. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kuna, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
