AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN LP

Automotive Repair & Detailing - Post Falls, ID LP Automotive Repair & Detailing is looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team! We are a busy, locally owned repair shop with our primary focus on used-car reconditioning for a local dealership , along with a growing customer-pay repair business. We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their work, knows how to diagnose problems correctly, and wants to be part of a team—not just work alongside one.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL

Have strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Be able to accurately diagnose electrical, mechanical, drivability, and computer-related issues Have experience working efficiently in a professional repair environment Be comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player Be willing to assist with and train lower-level technicians Have current/up-to-date industry certifications and training Provide and maintain their own professional set of tools Take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail Be dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple repair orders Communicate effectively with service advisors and other technicians Be willing to jump in and help wherever needed to keep the shop moving Have a positive attitude and contribute to a professional, respectful shop environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of makes and models Performing mechanical and electrical diagnostics Completing used-car inspections and reconditioning repairs Identifying needed repairs accurately and efficiently Performing maintenance and general repairs Working with scan tools and diagnostic equipment Helping less-experienced technicians develop their skills Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area Working as part of a team to meet quality and production goals

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a true A-level technician —someone who can take a vehicle with a problem, diagnose it accurately, determine the proper repair, and get the job done right. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who understands that a great shop is built around teamwork, communication, and helping each other succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of professional automotive repair experience required Strong diagnostic experience required ASE certifications preferred Current manufacturer or industry training/certifications a plus Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Own professional tools required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
