Regional Truck Equipment is a local business, proudly serving the Chicagoland area for over 40 years. We are under new ownership and are looking to grow and expand our service and production capabilities. We specialize in the installation, maintenance and repair of truck-mounted equipment, including snowplows, spreaders, hitches, van and truck packages, utility bodies, platforms and more. We are currently hiring for 2-3 Truck Equipment Installation Mechanics to assist in our growth. Job Summary We are seeking highly motivated installation mechanics specializing in the installation and repair of truck mounted equipment, including but not limited to snowplows, spreaders, hitches, van and truck packages, utility bodies, platforms and more. Job can include assembly of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards Job Responsibilities Build equipment according to instructions or diagrams Safely mount and connect electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment Install mechanical systems and equipment according to technical specifications and safety guidelines Responsible for testing and ensuring quality of installed parts before returning to customer Ensure all installations meet quality standards and client expectations Welding of different materials for safely mounting equipment is a plus Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications Prefer 1-2 years previous experience in truck equipment installation, 12 volt electric installation and diagnostic experience. Mechanical assembly and installation of equipment Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and safety procedures Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, diagrams and installation manuals accurately Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients Ability to use variety of hand, cutting and power tools Relevant technical certifications or vocational training are preferred but not mandatory.

Education:
