Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional customer service by diagnosing issues accurately and executing repairs efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of automotive systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical systems, and more. Whether working on passenger vehicles or heavy equipment, your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will drive our commitment to quality service. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues quickly and accurately. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and suspension system repairs. Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), powertrains, and drivetrain components. Work on specialized systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, automotive electrical wiring, and heavy equipment mechanics when required. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues accurately. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and vehicle status to ensure high customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments. Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, transmission work, and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, ADAS technology, and oil change procedures. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, suspension work, and powertrain servicing. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service technology. Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant trade qualifications; ASE certification is a plus.
