Job Type Full time Company culture Dakota K is a family owned business that has been serving the community of Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights and the surrounding suburbs since 1974 by providing a high level of ethical auto repairs and recommendations. By joining our team as an automotive technician, you'll be inspecting, diagnosing, and communicating repair recommendations for each vehicle. Qualifications Experience in hybrid maintenance and repairs ASE certification Solid automotive diagnostic experience and the ability to use computerized automotive diagnostic equipment Ability to explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals (i.e. service advisors and/or customers on occasion) Can refer to technical service manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair vehicles Positive, team-focused attitude Ability to multi-task and work in high production environment Must have own tools with the exception of scanners Ability to lift 50 pounds Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Responsibilities Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles. Preparing digital inspections and recommendations for repair for the Service Advisors to share with the customers. Communicating with Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication. Servicing foreign and domestic vehicles. Adhering to company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules. Cross-training with other shop mechanics as necessary. Method of payment for technicians Depending on level of experience, pay starts at $32-$36 per hour. Pay is tiered, so every hour booked, increases the hourly amount.
