Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates. Communicate repair recommendations clearly, including details on auto service procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignment, tire services, shocks & struts, and collision repairs. Upsell additional services or maintenance that enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction while respecting their preferences. Coordinate with technicians by providing detailed repair orders and ensuring timely completion of services. Manage customer communication throughout the service process, updating clients on progress and explaining technical issues in an understandable manner. Handle transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service transactions. Assist in developing long-term customer relationships through excellent service writing and client communication skills. Skills Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair shop. Strong mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with various repair procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension systems, tire services, shocks & struts. Proficiency with estimating software. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Knowledge of auto estimating processes & service writing procedures. Experience handling money transactions accurately and managing service department operations efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely.
