Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues in heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC units, and other critical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or assemble machinery parts and structures. Maintain and service equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, trailers, mowers, and other industrial or farm machinery to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting operations and when working with high-voltage electrical components or complex hydraulic systems. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair. Proficiency in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking. Knowledge of electrical systems including automotive diagnostics, soldering skills, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, lifts, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with schematics for hydraulics, transmissions, suspension components, HVAC units, and electrical wiring. Strong mechanical knowledge of farm machinery, industrial equipment, trailers (tractor-trailers), and other heavy-duty vehicles. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
