Master Automotive Technician / Master Mechanic About the Position We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled Master Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a dependable professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and getting the job done right the first time. This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, drivability, suspension, steering, and brake systems. The right candidate should be comfortable working independently, diagnosing complex problems, and helping maintain a high standard of quality throughout the shop. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on domestic and foreign vehicles Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and HVAC repairs Use advanced diagnostic scan tools and automotive testing equipment Interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturer service information Complete inspections and accurately identify needed repairs Perform preventive maintenance and general mechanical repairs Provide accurate repair recommendations based on diagnostic findings Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines Assist and mentor other technicians when needed Communicate professionally with service advisors, management, and other team members Maintain accurate repair documentation Qualifications 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred ASE certifications strongly preferred Master-level diagnostic and repair experience Strong electrical and computer diagnostic skills Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently Own professional hand tools Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Full-time, year-round employment Opportunities for advancement Professional and supportive work environment Modern diagnostic equipment and tools Consistent workflow Opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicles [Add benefits here: health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, bonuses, uniforms, tool program, etc.] Ideal Candidate Our ideal Master Technician is someone who can diagnose the problem, explain what needs to be done, and complete the repair correctly without unnecessary parts replacement or guesswork .
