Dixon Ford VW is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicle systems while following manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid services. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment and service information. Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, HVAC, and electrical systems. Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings accurately. Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs. Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance needs clearly through repair orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly use and maintain shop equipment and personal tools. Stay current on automotive technology through ongoing training and certification. Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive technician preferred. ASE certifications are a plus. Manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and other automotive equipment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
