Job Summary Entry-Level Lube Technician — Rapid Lube Hiring in Edwardsville and Granite City locations
Job Summary:
Entry-level position responsible for assisting customers and performing basic automotive maintenance services. No extensive automotive experience is typically necessary; employees learn the procedures and safety practices on the job.
Typical responsibilities:
Perform oil and filter changes Check and top off vehicle fluids Check tire pressure and inspect tires Replace air and cabin filters, windshield wipers, and other basic maintenance items Perform basic vehicle inspections Assist experienced technicians with automotive services Communicate maintenance recommendations to customers Follow safety procedures while working around vehicles and equipment Maintain a clean and organized service bay Provide friendly, professional customer service Complete services efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Qualifications:
Entry-level; automotive experience helpful but not necessarily required Willingness to learn automotive maintenance Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work as part of a team Good communication and customer-service skills Ability to stand, bend, kneel and work around vehicles for extended periods Ability to safely lift and handle automotive equipment and materials Rapid Lube specifically emphasizes quick, convenient oil changes and says its lube technicians are trained in automotive service.
Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
