In this energetic role, you will perform essential tire services, oil changes, and basic vehicle inspections, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair. Responsibilities Perform automotive tire changes, rotations, balancing, and repairs with precision using hand tools and power tools. Candidate must provide their own hand and power tools and a secure tool storage cabinet. Conduct oil and fluid changes, including lube services, following manufacturer specifications. Inspect vehicles thoroughly for mechanical issues, including checking tire wear, fluid levels, brakes, and other vital systems. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, batteries, and belts. Utilize automotive parts and accessories knowledge to recommend necessary repairs or replacements. Use auto estimating software to document services performed and communicate findings clearly to customers. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures while handling heavy lifting safely. Experience Prior mechanic experience or hands-on work in automotive service environments is preferred. Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and mechanical systems repair is essential. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, auto body repair, and auto restoration is a plus. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment is highly valued. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about vehicle conditions and recommended services.
