Pit Shop Auto Repair is hiring a Service Advisor for our Libertyville location, and we're looking for more than someone who knows cars. We're looking for someone who knows people . If you can build trust, communicate clearly, stay organized, manage a busy workflow, and confidently guide customers through decisions, you may be exactly who we're looking for. Automotive experience is welcome, but it's not required . In fact, some of our strongest Service Advisors came to us without previous automotive experience. We have structured systems, a dedicated company trainer, and a hands-on training center designed to teach you how we operate and give you the tools to succeed. What You'll Be Doing As a Service Advisor, you'll help manage the customer experience from vehicle check-in through the repair process while keeping communication and workflow moving. Greet and check in customers Build relationships and deliver excellent customer service Listen to customer concerns and communicate vehicle needs clearly Present and sell recommended repairs and maintenance Keep customers informed throughout the repair process Manage multiple customers and repair orders Dispatch work through the shop's dispatch board Coordinate workflow between customers and technicians Keep repair work moving efficiently through the shop Follow established sales, customer service, and workflow processes Maintain accurate and professional communication What We're Looking For We're open to candidates from both automotive and non-automotive backgrounds . 3+ years of customer service, sales, hospitality, or management experience preferred Strong customer-service skills Confident and professional communication Comfortable discussing pricing and selling recommended services Strong organization and multitasking abilities Ability to manage a fast-moving workflow Comfortable learning new systems and processes Coachable and willing to follow an established process Valid driver's license Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with backgrounds in restaurant management, hospitality management, retail management, customer service, or sales are encouraged to apply. Some of the company's strongest Service Advisors entered the automotive industry without previous shop experience. Compensation & Earning Potential This is a performance-based Service Advisor position with compensation tied to personal gross profit. Expected earning potential is approximately $80,000-$120,000 annually , depending on performance and skill level. Dedicated Training Center Pit Shop Auto Repair operates its own training center designed like a working automotive shop and has a dedicated company trainer. Every new employee completes a mandatory two-day orientation at the training center before reporting to the Libertyville shop.

If you've successfully managed customers, handled a busy restaurant or retail environment, worked in sales, or led a customer-facing team, those skills can translate well into this position. Bring the people skills and work ethic. We'll help teach you the process.
