Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Small Engine & Fleet Mechanic to join our growing landscape operations team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of landscaping equipment, small engines, trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles to ensure our crews remain productive and operational. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with both gasoline and diesel engines, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engine equipment including: o Commercial lawn mowers o String trimmers o Blowers o Chainsaws o Hedge trimmers o Generators and other landscape equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on: o Pickup trucks o Dump trucks o Landscape trailers o Snow removal equipment
• Conduct inspections and identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues.
• Perform oil changes, tune-ups, brake repairs, tire service, and routine fleet maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Order and manage parts inventory as needed.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical repair experience preferred.
• Experience working on commercial landscape equipment and medium-duty trucks.
• Ability to troubleshoot gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop and outdoor environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
