Job Description
Automotive Technician / Mechanic Join Our Growing Team in Macomb, IL! We are excited to be opening a brand-new automotive repair shop in Macomb, Illinois, and we're looking for motivated individuals to join our team. Whether you're an experienced automotive technician or someone looking to start a career as a lube technician, we'd love to hear from you. Our ownership team has built a strong reputation in the Macomb community through honesty, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service. We're looking for team members who take pride in their work and want to help us build one of the area's most trusted repair facilities. Position Responsibilities Depending on your experience level, responsibilities may include: General vehicle maintenance and inspections Oil changes and preventive maintenance services Tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs Brake inspections and brake repair Suspension and steering repairs Engine diagnostics and repair Cooling system service Transmission removal and replacement Electrical diagnostics and repairs Performing quality inspections and communicating recommended repairs Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area What We're Looking For Experienced Automotive Technician Several years of automotive repair experience preferred Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicles Strong work ethic and attention to detail Dependable and customer-focused ASE certifications are a plus but not required Lube Technician / Entry-Level Technician We are also looking to hire a motivated entry-level technician to perform oil changes, tire services, and routine maintenance. The right candidate will have opportunities to learn brake service and additional repair skills while working alongside experienced technicians. Shop & Equipment You'll be working in a clean, modern repair facility equipped with: Vehicle lifts Professional diagnostic equipment Tire service equipment A positive, team-oriented work environment Technicians are expected to provide their own hand tools for their work bay.
