Trailer Mechanic Join the McNay Truck Line Team - Quincy, IL McNay Truck Line is looking for a dependable, motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. What You'll Do As a Trailer Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our trailer fleet to ensure it operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trailer components, including: Brakes Suspension systems Axles Air lines Electrical and lighting systems Floors, doors, and frames Performing preventive maintenance and safety inspections Replacing or repairing damaged parts such as wiring, wheel bearings, hitches, and tires Operating shop equipment including welders, jacks, and pneumatic tools Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area Following all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and DOT regulations Completing assigned repairs under the direction of the Trailer Shop Manager Assisting with other business needs as required What We're Looking For Previous trailer or heavy-duty mechanical experience preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout an 8-hour shift Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. individually and up to 50 lbs. with assistance Ability to safely perform physical repair work in a variety of positions Why McNay Truck Line?
