Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct fabrication and welding tasks to modify or repair equipment components as needed. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Maintain and repair heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness. Execute tire services, alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and air brake system repairs with precision. Assist with vehicle assembly, equipment repair, and routine maintenance to extend the lifespan of fleet assets. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for repairs or fabrication tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair statuses clearly and ensuring timely completion of work orders. Support heavy lifting operations using appropriate lifting equipment while following safety guidelines. Experience Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or truck technician in dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in welding, fabrication, soldering, and using power tools for various repair tasks. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or forklifts is highly desirable. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for truck drivers' vehicles and farm machinery is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to deliver outstanding service in a team environment.
