Automotive Technician / Mechanic Shelby's Garage — Schaumburg, IL$15-$20 per hour, based on experienceFull-Time | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM About Shelby's Garage Shelby's Garage is a small, growing automotive repair shop in Schaumburg, Illinois. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team. We are a small-business environment where your work matters. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, treats customers and their vehicles with respect, and is willing to learn and grow with the shop. Position Overview The Automotive Technician/Mechanic will assist with a variety of general automotive repair and maintenance services. Automotive repair experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. ASE certification is not required. Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
  • Perform brake repairs and replacements
  • Repair suspension and steering components
  • Assist with engine repairs and mechanical work
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow proper shop safety procedures
  • Communicate professionally with the shop owner and team
  • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently Qualifications
  • Previous automotive repair experience preferred
  • Willing to train the right candidate
  • ASE certification is not required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must have your own basic mechanic tools
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Schedule Monday-Friday:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Compensation $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Why Join Shelby's Garage?
