$36k base OTE $80++ Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable External Service Advisor specializing in RVs to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring maintenance, repairs, and inspections of their recreational vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that clients receive exceptional service, accurate estimates, and timely updates on their vehicle status. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, a confidence to upsell additional products and services, be highly organized and able to to mulit task. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where technical proficiency and client communication are paramount. Duties Greet customers professionally, assess their RV service needs, and provide detailed explanations of repair procedures and options. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections utilizing automotive diagnostics tools to identify mechanical issues such as transmissions, suspension systems, brake systems, and tire services. Prepare accurate repair estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and communicate these clearly to clients. Upsell additional services or repairs by identifying potential needs during inspections while maintaining integrity and transparency. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure completion within established timeframes. Maintain detailed records of service orders, repair histories, and client communications for future reference. Handle cash transactions, process payments securely, and issue receipts in compliance with dealership policies. Provide exceptional customer service by updating clients on their vehicle status and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Assist in managing service write-ups, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth workflow within the service department. Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, diagnostic tools, and industry standards to enhance service quality. Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Advisor within ideally an RV or automotive dealership or repair facility specializing in RVs or similar vehicles. Confident mechanical knowledge in diagnostics and repair Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust. Experience with dealership operations including service writing and auto service management. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures combined with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
