Inspect, diagnose and repair a large fleet of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks across multiple locations. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all vehicles. Coordinate repairs on site, document issues and repair work along with communicating well with plant managers on needs to meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations. This will also include a wide range of equipment repair and maintenance.
Pay:
$42•$46 an hour
Responsibilities:
Safety First•Must follow all MSHA and Mine Site Safety Rules and have a personal commitment to safety 24/7. Repair, maintain and service fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, AC systems, engine, transmission, drivetrain, and brakes for on/ off road vehicles•per DOT and
MSHA/OSHA
requirements. Maintain the company supplied trucks and operate it in a safe manner. Communicate any equipment maintenance concerns in a timely manner. Quality repairs while taking ownership in your work. Perform inspections along with annual DOT inspections. Willing to assist heavy equipment mechanics on large projects and perform small repairs while onsite.
Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated. Able to climb in, on and around equipment. Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to communicate well with operations and meet their needs. Possess the ability to read and understand Equipment Maintenance Manuals Must be responsible, reliable, and willing to work in all weather conditions. Need to have excellent communication skills, a good work ethic and a positive attitude. Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends Able to travel. This position is based out of Monroe OH, work locations will include southwest OH and Indiana primarily, This can change with workload. Must be able to maintain an active company driver's license.
Experience/Skills:
Technical experience preferred, training available. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems. Computer skills and use of diagnostic tools Knowledge of specialized tooling Welding and heavy equipment knowledge is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose aftertreatment emission system. Basic welding skills desired Crane knowledge a plus Desire to take on new challenges Small engine repair desired
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred 5 years of experience preferred Kokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action federal and state contractor.
