The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections and accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, and cooling systems. Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. Use diagnostic equipment and repair software to identify vehicle problems. Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation. Maintain accurate repair records and complete work orders in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Stay current on automotive technology and manufacturer repair procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or automotive technician. ASE certifications are preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to operate diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills Experience working on domestic, European, and Asian vehicles. Knowledge of computerized diagnostic systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on the candidate's experience, technical skills, certifications, and whether the candidate provides their own tools and equipment. Pay will be determined during the hiring process based on overall qualifications and contributions.
