Automotive Transmission Technician Nick Dellen Chevrolet GMC | Tipton, Indiana Nick Dellen Chevrolet GMC is looking for an experienced and dependable Automotive Transmission Technician to join our service team in Tipton. We're looking for a skilled technician who is confident diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding automotive transmission systems and takes pride in performing quality work. What You'll Do Diagnose automatic and manual transmission concerns Perform transmission repairs, replacements, and rebuilds Diagnose drivetrain and related vehicle performance issues Perform inspections and testing to accurately identify mechanical problems Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and service information Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards Perform road tests before and after repairs when necessary Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommended services Communicate with service advisors regarding vehicle conditions and repair needs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Stay current with manufacturer procedures, technical information, and training What We're Looking For Previous professional automotive transmission repair experience Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills Knowledge of automatic transmissions, drivetrain systems, and related components Ability to accurately diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record GM, Chevrolet, GMC, or dealership experience is a plus ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus Why Join Nick Dellen Chevrolet GMC?
