Position Overview The Service Technician with Class B CDL is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner. Key Job Functions Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems. Complete work orders and process parts requests. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Pick up and deliver trucks as needed, with driving accounting for up to 60% of the role during outage season. Perform service work when not driving, including PDIs, oil changes, and other maintenance within your experience. Hold a valid Class B CDL or higher. A CDL is required for this position. Maintain a current DOT medical card and meet applicable DOT requirements. One year of mechanical experience is preferred. Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate. Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials preferred. Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches. Specialty and oversized tools are provided by the company.
